I would recommend using gVIM, takes a little learning but is probably the single most capable editor for textual files around with syntax highlighting, line numbering and many other features. Also it is lightweight and an industry standard text editor.http://www.vim.org

Try the free XMLEditPro from www.daveswebsite.com - it is smaller, easier for the occasional user, and you have a tree view where you can copy or delete whole logical code blocks without the need to care about syntax, forgotten brackets or such.

Chuck, Can you tell me how you edited it? I have the following buttons on my CH Yoke: Button #5 should be Gear Up. Button #6 should be Gear Down.Using XML Notepad, I have (what I think are the proper areas): - [index]4[/index] [Down]GEAR_TOGGLE[/Down] - [index]5[/index] [Down]GEAR_PUMP[/Down] If these are the proper buttons to change, do I edit them as GEAR_UP and GEAR_DOWN ???I don't understand why MS changed the mapping for gear up/down from FS9.
