Hi-hat button camera usage Saitek yoke

Recommended Posts

Hey guys please help me, I just switched from years of XP to FS2020 Steam yesterday.

On the Saitek yoke there is a round button on left side I always used for 360 deg viewing in & out of the cockpit.

It’s very important (to me), that as i’m flying & changing angles/positions & so forth, to be able to be constantly changing my pov, but I can’t seem to find a mapped setup page of the yoke to assign that button for I guess what would be called free camera?

Please help me if possible, thanks much.

I just also switched to msfs 2020

And have issues trying to figure out the hat switch on my saitek yoke

panning seems jerky and stuttery when moving around.

Need chaseplane lol

Exactly my issue, I didn’t mention the shaky part but yes that too.  I’m sure such a small issue is fixable hopefully the folks here can help out.

I just read the details in the your link, sounds like it will work, running out to buy 49” curved monitor (switching from 3, 27” monitors), and then will try it.  Thanks very much I def appreciate it.

Yea, later tonight i’m going to try that method that the other guy mentioned here, activating the hi-hat button, but i’m curious if it will actually look “all” around, or only in the left/right forward/back directions.  We see.

I have to tell you that while I've always had a hat bound to panning I recently purchased a yoke (first one in 30 years of simming) and have really gotten used to the default for the Honeycomb.  its configured so one press down gets you instrument view, left, right switch through them, up gets you out, up again gets you landing view.  i like a cockpit pan for pictures but this is far more useful in this sim IMHO.  May want to try something similar...External still gets you pan btw on the alpha same as you'd expect.

I have configured it that way as mentioned yet still causes slight stutters when panning.

it does move  around thou not as smooth like chaseplane.

Try turning off VSYNC if it is on.
