WHEA ERROR

Recommended Posts

Started receiving this message after upgrading to version11. 55. Also had an older copy of XPlane , version11. 51, and I get the same BSOD every time. Anyone have any ideas?   WHEA Uncorrectable Error.      Skip

Post a log.txt and we can take a closer look at what's causing it.

The WHEA_Uncorrectable error is generally hardware or driver related, as are most blue-screen errors.

If a software upgrade is associated with it, it's likely either coincidental timing or perhaps the software pushed hardware that was running on the ragged edge of stability over the line (e.g. an iffy or deteriorating overclock, failing RAM module etc).

I'd start with a run of a memory tester like MEMTEST86+ and a system stress test (I use RealBench).

google says

The WHEA uncorrectable error is a stop code displayed during blue screen crashes, and is usually caused by some type of hardware failure. A failing hard drive, defective memory, improperly seated CPU, and a variety of other hardware issues can all result in a WHEA uncorrectable error.

I say

It absolutely blows my mind that windows cant tell the difference between a failing harddrive and an improperly seated cpu. Just wow.

Thanks for the replies. All helpful. I only have this problem with XPlane not MSFS 2020. Looks like the " Bridge is out"  according to my log text. If you can give me a hint on .how to post the log, I will do so.

I have found the problem and it was me. Failed to accept the new shaders on the upgrade, liked the old ones I had, and since I chose to over write the old files, XPlane starts every time. Thanks for the tips everyone.
