Remote connection and database

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

So, on my FS pc (msfs) the gates in little nav map and taxiways are shown. NICE!

I however use a remote latpop most of the time as  "efb" charts etc. After copying the database file per instruction, I don't see them show up.

What am I missing here? :). A step for sure, but which.

Cheers

Vic

Hi Vic,

did you copy the right database file? This would be "little_navmap_msfs.sqlite" and - if you use Navigraph update - "little_navmap_navigraph.sqlite" to "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ABarthel\little_navmap_db".
Also make sure to use the scenery library mode "Use Navigraph for Navaids and Procedures".

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, I copied the whole database folder (very nice that I can go directly to the folder via the program!).

Hm, Where do I set the "Use Navigraph for Navaids and Procedures" option? How do I get in to the scenery library mode? It did load the ILs feathers, but not the taxiways & gates :/.

Go to the menu "Scenery Library" and choose the mode below the "Navigraph" submenu.
You can read more about this here: https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/2.6/en/NAVDATA.html
The chapter also explains what is taken from what database depending on mode. "Use Navigraph for Navaids and Procedures"  is the recommended default.

Also consider this https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/2.6/en/SCENERY.html#load-scenery-library-dialog-msfs-apt-navdata when using MSFS.

Ah, I found it, nice! Cheers

That means that, on the remote pc, I'll never be able to see the gates and taxiways? Or how does that work?

cheers

Vic

You'll see exactly what you can see on the flying computer if you copy "little_navmap_msfs.sqlite" and "little_navmap_navigraph.sqlite" to the server and select "Use Navigraph for Navaids and Procedures" (or "Do not use Navigraph Database". This depends if you have MSFS updated by Navigraph or not). No limitations.

Weird, that is precisely what I did, but the gates don't show up.

Thank you! I love screenshots. 🙃
I see "Detail -5" in the status bar.

You reduced details to the lowest level. You can adjust this with Ctrl+Mousewheel, Ctrl++, Ctrl+-, Ctrl+0 or menu -> View -> Details.

You're welcome. I should ask for screenshots more often. 🙂
