KGSO Greensboro Triad in Marketplace?

Featured Replies

I went to the Marketplace tonight to look at images of the payware Chicago Meigs and I noticed that there is a payware version of KGSO, Greensboro Triad, North Carolina, there.  It has no user ratings at this time.  I have no idea how long it has been available.  I am interested in hearing from any who may have purchased and installed this airport.   Cessna has a major maintenance facility  at KGSO and it is the also home of the HondaJet factory. I toiled for 25 years for that corporation!  I am interested in how well these two facilities are modeled in this Marketplace airport.  Any feedback would be appreciated!  The Cessna facility is located to the right near the approach end of 05R.  The HondaJet complex is located to the left just past the TDZ of 23L.

MSFS scenery builders do quality just above default style airports.

As I've said before,  though I appreciate them taking on many airports that the majors won't do,  the attention to detail related to the inner workings of addon airports in MSFS is

not good.  Taxiways are madeup - aircraft parking is usually unusable...  they haven't taken the time to learn how to do those things properly so they don't work.  If the visuals are all you want, they're good enough, but the airports don't function well.

It's a MSFSScenery addon that was added last week..  The price absolutely doesn't justify the quality ($14 for a small municipal airport with basically default buildings when major international airports with amazing detail can be had for a couple dollars more).  Keep your money.

This developer was/is known as 'FSXSceneries' as well on SimMarket and I bought KGSO for P3D a while back.  Long story short, I immediately uninstalled it.  It was freeware quality at best (most freeware is actually better) and the developer did not answer my questions about a couple issues. This growing trend of selling garbage for flight sims is unfortunate. That being said...MAYBE they have improved and the MSFS product is better but I will not buy anything unless it is from a known, respected developer at this point.

Saddened by the reports as it often seems other developers shy away from creating an airport that another has already put out there.
