finally got a 3080

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

super excited, managed to get my hands on a 3080FE after hours of haggling, lol.

paired with a I7 10700K 16GB 3080 i think finally i may have a good experience at 4k.

I was crashing with 16gb ram when starting up, kind of expecting it but with sim update 5 i hope i can get away with it.

No idea what to expect as of yet but i hope after sim update 5 its a nice experience.

I've got 16gb ram also I think that's why I have trouble at complex airports like O'Hare.

Yea, would love to know where.  Looking for either a 3080/3080ti shoot, even a 3090 but would prefer the 3080's

I wonder if there'll be more reaching the shops soon due to the recent chinese crypto mining restrictions in some areas?

if a 3080 had an odometer, i wonder what an "ex china special" would have clocked up on it?

As long as you have a healthy overclock you should be able to do pretty good at 4K. Expect 50-60 fps in most scenarios outside of major cities. I was thankful for my spot in the evga queue to finally come up after almost 9 months of waiting. Sold my 2080 FE for 800 bucks too so I only "lost" like 100 or so bucks on the upgrade.

Stable Minimum: VRam * 4 = Ram.

For 3080Ti: 12 * 4 = 48

Ram 64 will be the best with overclocking!
