Recommended Posts

https://github.com/Working-Title-MSFS-Mods/fspackages/releases/tag/g3000-v0.7.3

Release Highlights for v0.7.3

Please refer to the changelog for a more detailed description of changes in this release.

  • Added the Enroute Options menu to the GTC Flight Plan page, which allows you to add waypoints and airways directly to the beginning of the Enroute segment.
  • Enabled the ability to zoom and scroll the Flight Plan and Procedure Preview panes.

Fixes

  • [FPLN] VNAV indications will no longer display "NaN" for vertical deviation when the current VNAV leg is flat.
  • [MFD] The Navigation Data Bar BRG field now correctly displays the bearing to the active waypoint instead of the airplane's heading.
  • [GTC] Fixed behavior of Back button in the G3000 Transponder page.
  • [NavMap] The range compass now displays "360" instead of "000" for north heading.
  • [Charts] Fixed a freeze that could occur when attempting to display certain Navigraph charts with malformed georeferencing data.

Can you use this with default aircraft (like the Caravan) and if so how?

The WT GPS mods work with all of the aircraft which have those avionics.   There is a G1000 mod,  G3000 mod,  G3x mod,  and a PMS50 GNS530 mod.   Different GPS models and mods of course.

Might I suggest downloading the above community downloader,    and then using it to install and maintain the "SCS Cessna 208B" mod.    Most of the guys I fly with use that 208 mod, and one helped contribute toward it's development.

It will maintain the WT GPS mods too.

EDIT:   Side note for the new people among us.   Working Title is working directly with Asobo to implement WT's work into the default sim.

Great advice. Thanks.

The current version for the G3000 is shown as 0.7.2.

That's strange.  I just installed 0.7.3 from the downloader,  and when I visit the OP link the Working Title page shows 0.7.3 and a DL link for it.    HIt F5 to refresh your browser maybe.

This is why I provided a link to the github page, taken straight from WT's Discord channel.

What surprises me, is that many incremental fixes are being provided... but if I select a waypoint in my flightplan and push Direct-To, enter, enter... I still lose the flightplan and the "USER" waypoint is set...

Why does this unit not recognize that all I want, is to skip to another flightplan waypoint??

And while we are on basic requirements.. why does the FPL page not scroll forward as I fly the flightplan?

Because it still uses the default MSFS flight plan system unfortunately. Big improvement from the default, but really needs the full WT magic....

Big expectations for SU5   🙂

Thing is.. I could remove the silly "USER" waypoint display with one line of code..

If waypoint name = USER,  display BLANK
