How is that even possible with 2Mb connections? In short, it's not a viable option. I realise P3D and probably XP require downloading but those are far smaller and no have enforced updates. If that is the market for XP and P3D they can kiss any hope for growth goodbye. But that is already happening anyway. I wonder how they will be able to update the core sim when the add-on developers will no longer update their products? How would that work with weather, AI traffic, aircraft add-ons, etc.? Users will basically be given a choice. Either stay on the current version to keep compatibility with their add-ons, or get the latest version but lose use of them. You see how this plays out, right Ray? 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

July 9, 20214 yr I switched to MSFS? Since when did PMDG NGXu, Majestic Dash 8 or FSL Airbus become available for MSFS?

PMDG said 737 this year, and maybe even the 777. Next year the 747. Majestic said they were working on it. Again, all good things come in time. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro
July 9, 20214 yr After such a gloomy past couple of months around the world and in MSFS (no good quality payware aircraft) things are starting to look up with multiple devs working on "study level" aircraft specifically for MSFS 2020. As some have suggested that tools such as weather addon devs not being allowed access to the weather engine, for me personally thats a good thing as 1. I don't have to fork out 40+ euro for a weather addon, and 2. For me personally MSFS 2020's live weather is outstanding! I am 99% fully converted to MSFS 2020 now. I haven't used P3D for over two months now, it just feels dull and outdated. I will probably uninstall P3D from my system in the coming weeks. MSFS 2020 is what all of the flight sim community have wanted for 20+ years. MSFS 2020 is a giant step forward in the right direction and I won't be looking back at P3D or FSX whatsoever.

I can remember about 4 years ago when I finally moved from DSL which was about 3 MBs average on a good day when the wind was blowing right, to 50 MBs. The difference was amazing, sad for people that are stuck with yesterdays technology. Right now I have friends that are on fiber getting up to 1 Gig/sec.

July 9, 20214 yr Hopefully this means we will now see JF getting a spurt on, putting some of their collection of passenger tubes into MSFS. I'm just looking at the FS9/FSX stuff sat on a shelf from them now gathering dust, includes in no particular order DC10's, Tristars, MD81/82, not to mention the bits and pieces I bought via download when discs went out of fashion.
