People still don't understand how to fly tail draggers

Just admit it.  It is not that good and Carenado are average at best.

My question was more so understanding what Cavari's expectations are based on his experience.  I don't share the grave dissatisfaction you have with Carenado especially considering the alternative which is 'Nothing' for the models they produce and other add-on developers that are far worse than them.  I'd love to see Carenado's whole hanger in FS2020.

@Dillon

I have actually bought 3 Carenado aircraft this time.  Prior, I only had the Waco (which I did like).  They have a history of pretty but half baked planes.  If it weren't for the likes of @Bert Pieke et al, they would never have been taken seriously.  This time, I thought they would try and do something different.  I was wrong, which is a shame, because the Mooney is good, but could be superb.  The same can be said for the Waco, which looks and flies quite beautifully, but takes off (especially) and lands like rubber dog $%!&.

I stopped complaining and moved on, as Carenado (and unfortunately Asobo QC) did not seem to be worried about getting things right with it.  I only re-installed the Waco after your post, and while she is beautiful, she's being binned yet again.

Fixed it for you.

And yes, the alternative is trash as MSFS, despite all their claims of superior flight dynamics, delivered a bunt in terms of default airplanes.

Looking forward to see what you come up with as an alternative to Asobo and Carenado. Dougsim2021 should be amazing with custom models that'll rival professional Level-D simulators.  The sim will offer the best tail dragger modeling yet seen outside of the real world.

In the sim your are just trying to figure out how the programming responds, and it's mostly visual. In RL you have weather, and physics, and the known characteristics of your aircraft, and you're trying to make it all work together. The aircraft is a mechanism that talks to you. The weather talks to you. Physics talk to you. There's a lot of "feel" and intuition involved. When you do it right it feels good. When you get it wrong it doesn't usually look OR feel good. Sometimes it's just downright scary. Sounds are also very much a part of it all, and programed sounds are vastly different from sounds created by the complex real world.
