I really enjoy flying it for the most part. They have pretty much fixed the glideslope issue (no issues since the last update.) But today I would have been shot down by the Air Force. I was on the KDCA RNAV 19 approach and for some reason it ignored a turn and flew me right over the White House. So, yeah, that would not be good. I was able to salvage the landing but that is one place you DON’T want to be off-course.

Just in addition to the given response...

I have requested that navigraph please find a way to eliminate the RNP approaches from the update package it loads into the CRJ...  For now we just need to make sure we only select the correct and capable approaches for it..

Weather Radar-- again this is a limitation that they are not able to get this out of the Sim via the API.  The request for external access to Weather is not just about application that inject it but also those that will read it...  the CRJ is a "WASM" plane and is not able to access all of the same things (weather being one of them..)  But hey the Refresh on the Glass and the FPS are fantastic for me.

The problem is that not all RNP approaches are clearly identified as such in the master ARINC-424 database files that Navigraph receives from Jeppesen. However it is my understanding that there is supposed to be an upcoming change in the way these approaches are coded that might make it easier to filter them out at the FMS level, just as airports with no runways longer than 4500 feet currently are.

Although Asobo does not plan to open the weather system to 3rd party developers for weather injection into the sim environment, AFAIK, they do intend to eventually make it possible for WASM gauges and displays to read the location of precipitation in the sim environment just as JavaScript/HTML displays currently can. I know it is on the “to do” list, but not sure of the timeframe when this will happen. I am believe that the upcoming PMDG 737 will also be a WASM aircraft, and as such, it will have the same limitation until a WASM API is developed for weather radar.
