July 11, 20214 yr Author So I thought it was the Xbox controller causing the issue that was also plugged in but it isn't. Reset and recalibrated the sticks not joy. For testing I also assigned a button to reset the trim to 0 during flight. Turned on the HUD on external view to see whats going on. When its at absolute 0 the aircraft goes into kamikaze mode, It needs 28-29 click of up-trim for level flight at full throttle. I could be just mad and it was always the case but I don't seem to remember this way. Simming since FS 98. MSFS rig - Ryzen 3600 4.2Ghz - 32GB RAM 3600Mhz - Motherboard MSI 570 A Pro - RTX 2080 Ti -all overclocked - 2xNVME storage. PSU Corsair HX850i platinum. Average 30Fps on 4K ultra.

July 11, 20214 yr try it with only kb and mouse with all the controllers unplugged. also verify all autopilot is disabled. curious question for you, how long in time in days or months between was the last flight that worked as expected vs when things went wonky? Yes that is the next step to do. It went wonky from one day to another. The only thing I recall changed was the latest updates but I reckon it was a couple of days after the updates were applied. Windows updates??? I first noticed with the PMDG DC6 went into deep dive on take off. The day before it wasn't like that. Edited July 11, 20214 yr by Bandyka Simming since FS 98. July 11, 20214 yr Make sure you don't have a strange assignment on the trim or something. Check every assigned thing in the joystick configuration. Game loves to randomly change assignments. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF

Does that mean for example it was fine on a thursday and then you played it friday and it was wonky? And if that is so, was there a msfs update that was applied on friday? I dont think any windows updates would have cause this issue but not impossible. Do you know if there were any windows updates applied on the theoretical friday I use as an example? I have had similar issues with the pmdg aircraft you mention as well. I believe you have mentioned that this issue occurs with ALL aircraft. Have you specifically tried the C172 and the extreme node down issue occurs? Edited July 11, 20214 yr by Brandon01110 MSFS Alpha tester on W10 Pro x64. Hardware: AMD 5900X 12 core CPU. Yes as mentioned there was an FS update, all was fine for a day or so then suddenly out of the blue the DC-6 went into deep dive, so "what da" reaction. Then purchased the Carenado 170 and same thing, just now I tried the trusted Carenado M20R and guess what, that behaves pretty much normal... GO figure. Simming since FS 98. Alright I kind of have a theory about this, sort of. I have the exact same controller Thrustmaster FCS 16000m HOTAS. Most of the time, about 98% everything is fine, I mainly fly GA aircraft. But once in awhile mine does the same thing. I am using the default profiles that were set by the sim, except for a few things like flaps, gear, parking brake. Now in my case I am not sure if it is me every now and then, or the sim and controller freaking out sometimes. For one thing I did not even know this input was assigned to the trim. And when I have my left hand on the HOTAS, my pinky finger is on that knob input that controls trim ( also the 7 and 1 key minor adjustments up and down ), and it is crazy sensitive. You barely touch it by mistake and up or down you go. I know I need to change the sensitivity. Move it VERY slowly to get out of these situations. Like I said it's either me and not knowing say when I use another button or input touching it or the controller and the sim are just freaking out sometimes. Most of the time all is well. Once in awhile, it's a run away aircraft up or down 🙂 This is just my observation on my setup using the same controller. Yours situation might be different? And also like you one aircraft will be fine another freaks out. Happens to me rarely. And sometimes I restart the sim and it works. Who knows for sure? BTW, I absolutely love this joystick and HOTAS! Either way I hope you figure it out. And good luck! July 11, 20214 yr Make sure your sim didn't spontaneously (like is did once on me and drove me batty like this) change to legacy mode from modern. Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
