Because it is for PS3 too but is only the joystick (without the throttle). Which is why it is so cheap. For Xbox you want the HOTAS ONE, and make sure it shows the stick and the throttle too in the picture. Thanks Fielder. The one I linked to above definitely shows the throttle in the picture, and it says 5-axis, which I presume is X, Y, Z, rocker bar, and throttle. It is arriving tomorrow, so if it doesn't have the throttle they can have it straight back for false advertising. I just found out they are only 15 miles from me, so if it is wrong I will take it back personally! Edited July 13, 20214 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. It isn't just the joystick, it's the throttle too (the throttle is shown in the images when I follow the link). It wouldn't be a HOTAS without the throttle, and you can't separate the joystick from the throttle as they are permanently connected via a cable. I believe you can get a standalone Thrustmaster Joystick, but it isn't called a HOTAS X. I found the Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X for less than £50, last year, before the sim was released. Guess I timed that right.
July 13, 20214 yr Two simple mods... a piece of tape to tighten up the stick and protect the potentiometer. And filing off a ridge to remove the throttle detent. (I left the throttle detent because it now makes a dandy centered axis for the PC when you already have another throttle to use. Such as an elevator or rudder trim for instance. There are more complicated mods for the Tflight posted on Youtube. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

It is cheaper. "HOTAS X": The stick and throttle are joined together physically. They can be separated by removing 2 screws with an Allen key, allowing you to put one on your right hand side and the other on your left hand side. When separated they are still wired together and use only one USB connection. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. July 13, 20214 yr This is way more complicated hacking. I only posted it because at the 30 second mark 0:30 you can see how large and substantial the rocker is. Not your typical little rocker. I found that this makes it a great rudder control for a laptop flight simulator or xbox in your living room where you don't want to have pedals attached to the carpet. EDIT: The rocker is an axis, not buttons.
