July 17, 20214 yr OnAir for me. Have ditched everything else (AH2, FSE). 60 bucks for two years is pocket change as it gives med hundreds of hours of escapism... ;) EDIT: I wouldn't go with FSE if they GAVE me 60 bucks for two years. Ya FSE just didn’t grab me for some reason, however I do appreciate the efforts that must go into making and maintaining something like FSE for free, so kudos to them (FSE) and wish them well no doubt! July 17, 20214 yr I have all of the above. Did FSE for 2 years and it was great, but when MSFS came along I didn’t feel like flying to the same airports over and over. The comradely was great and I was in a great group that is still going strong. Flying OnAir now and found it similar to FSE, but not restricted to the same FBOs, and if you wanted a fixed route, any FBOs were available. Neofly and Skypark were nice diversions but never fly them very long because there is a lack of an ongoing goal. I did like the tours in Skytours when the new updates came out. May need to try out Neofly with the campaign mode.
July 18, 20214 yr No xp with the skypark, I used onair and AH2. AH2 is probably the better product but even that one I stopped using all together as the interface imo is atrocious! You have menus, icons on top, icons on the side and tiles and the ability to create favourites as well which in the end makes the whole thing, the tiles as I understand replace the icons so you can disable those but the flow doesn't appear the same. Your opening screen now also looks like MSFS but you'll never end up using it anyway, I guess it looks good on the product page. Although you'll ged used to it after a while and will find your way around I found the whole thing super annoying to use after a while to the point where I lost interest. If there is a word that combines esoteric and convoluted together its 'air hauler'. Then once you start managing airlines with a lot of routes and pilots it becomes super painful to visualise and navigate your schedules, it's very clunky and hard to see the forest for the trees. Obviously the product has been around for ages and other than adjusting the API to talk to MSFS there is nothing new or fresh with the product. Atm I'm flying with Neofly which don't get me wrong also doesn't have a great interface but it's shortcomings are nowhere near as painful but obviously it's not as deep and as its features grow it may very well end up in a similar situation where feature creep results in a janky UI. But at this stage I find Neofly to have a lot of very nice features as well and at no cost although I'll probably end up paying for some of its more advanced stuff as I do want to check out some of its features like FBO's. So yes AH2 leaves me frustrated as there is a lot to like but the more I found my airline was growing, the more time I spent fighting with interface which constantly reminded me of a word processor from the 90's combined with a myspace page. I don't want this to come across as negative as again the core product and features are solid and for some that's all it needs to be to be a great product and not everyone is going to be bothered by this as much as I am. But as you were asking for feedback about AH2 my personal one is that it's seriously held back by its interface which really needs a redesign from the ground up, rip out the UI and start again even if the features are the same. Unfortunately we aren't spoiled for choice yet when it comes to these types of offerings so beggars can't be choosers because if I then look at reviews for the Skypark it appears to be the opposite, great interface but rather shallow underneath. I guess there certainly is room for more talented devs to come up with similar products, increased competition results in increased quality but we aren't there yet when it comes to these things.

Thanks, I originally didn’t know about neofly until I started this thread, And I think the simplicity and depth of neofly is fitting well at the moment, is there a paid version of neofly? July 18, 20214 yr Question about Skypark. If i accept a contract in skypark does it load the flight details into msfs? How integrated are the two? 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro
July 24, 20214 yr Author Having a lot of fun with neofly..One thing I’d like is to be able to look around for aircraft for sale by type and not only by icao, unless I just haven’t figured out how to do it yet. July 24, 20214 yr Not sure if that is still the case, but I tried OnAir 9 months ago and found it horrible. It had so many inconsistencies that I stopped using it after two weeks, even though I had purchased a 3-month subscription. Airports had an FBO in one difficulty level, but not in another. In a fairly large area (Eastern Canada), I only found rentable KingAir 350s at airports that either had no fuel or had too short a runway for that plane. There were several more issues like that, so that I swore that I won't look at it again for at least another year. Peter

I believe there's a 'Neofly tools' add on which does that plus some other things. I think there's a link to it on their discord server.

I'm working my way down the coast of Central America right now in a ratty old DC-6 freighter, hauling anything that pays - fruit, veggies, whiskey, caviar, televisions, whatever - as kind of an airborne tramp steamer plying it's way around the globe. Good stuff! Hi Stoopy, we flew from BHAM to New York on a supper Connie and from their to the Azores's on.....you guessed it.....a DC-6. This was in 1958. Regards Lamar Wright

Digging up my old thread that I had forgotten about lol I might as well update everyone, I’m back to my old ways and not using anything, it was fun using such a program for a littl while but back to just flying the skies with no purpose in mind! Hi, can you elaborate on your opinion of OnAir vs. FSE and why you're thumbs down on FSE? Also, on OnAir, are you free to fly any aircraft at any time or are you required to work up from something like a C152 or C172? Many thanks.
