Also, on OnAir, are you free to fly any aircraft at any time or are you required to work up from something like a C152 or C172? Many thanks. Oh, it was a long time since I wrote that and to be honest I've forgotten about FSE entirely. I found it kind of annoyingly cumbersome. Searching for good jobs was an absolute torturous chore. Et cetera. I still do all my flying in OnAir. Still like it. There are different "worlds" depending on how you want to play. In the easier levels I think you can set the level of rewards for a given job. I play in the "hardest" world where you have no AI pilots you can boss around doing jobs. As of now I lease the aircraft I want to use for about a month each time. Right now I am using and very much enjoying the PMDG 736 doing missions in Australia. Before that I've been using the Fenix and the 737-700 and md-82. I find it enjoyable and it gives me destinations I've never thought about. I don't really remember the start of my 'career' in this OnAir world... You are limited by your cash, that is for sure so you are looking at a significant time investment flying smaller planes (if you play on the 'hardest' world). Well.. enough of my incoherent ramblings I think.. 😃 Richard 7950x3d | 32Gb 6000mHz RAM | 8Tb NVme | RTX 4090 | MSFS | P3D | XP12
September 7, 20223 yr In Onair there are many options for starting a small business with a larger airline. You can also fly any aircraft as a freelancer for a salary. There are also several worlds with varying difficulty and it is by far the most complete complement.

September 8, 20223 yr I used AH2 for a month or so but flying is pretty much incidental to its purpose--it's really all about airline company management. I found A Pilot's Life v2 and it is piloting and piloting-focused and is a much better fit for my needs for "purpose". In particular I really value its scoring of all flights according to good sized set of criteria that are monitored in realtime. It's a little slow to start because you have to be hired by an airline and are stuck w/ the schedules of routes that airline flies which can become tedious. As the weeks roll on however that changes as you are hired by bigger airlines, as desired and as offered, which have more robust routes. Plus you can purchase tickets to fly anywhere, anytime, by any airline that flies a particular route. I pair it with PACX which adds airliner ambience.
