Hello Markus, ENVTEX is providing textures for clouds and sky colors beside those which generated with ASCA. Because of this i have a nice mixture of different cloud types and very dynamic appearance, but always matching with what i would exspect compared to what i can see in reallife.

Have you tried the link i have posted at the top of this thread? There you can see some examples of my setup and settings.

Bernd I already made a few flights with - in general - the settings and programs you mentioned. One last question...in your pictures there is almost no haze, that really looks good. I made a flight from LOWW to EHAM this morning and there was haze all around almost the whole flight. Are there any special things i could have set up to get rid of that (enormous) haze?

Greets,

Markus

hmm, i have set the maximum visibility in ASP3D to 200 as recommended by some users who had too much haze, but maybe the less amount of haze is also effected by ENVSHADE.

Hi Bernd, i also set the max visibility in ASP3D to 200 and set the haze to very low in ENVSHADE... i think i have to do some more flights to double check.

Thanks again,

Markus

How can ASCA combine with Envtex ? Surely you can only use one or the other ?

Thnx for any advice.

Hi.

So it doesn't alter ASCA but supplements it with additional textures that Actice Sky then utilises in its dynamic mode ?

Thnx.

That's a question for TOGA. I only know, there's a setting to configure TOGA products with Active Sky or REX. How it works, I don't know. I like the result, that counts.

Very promising!  The only thing I couldn't figure out was if it resolved the dark cockpit in 5.3...  Every time they showed the cockpit in the video it "looked" like they had the dome light on in the cockpit...

If this fixes the dark cockpit lighting in 5.3 though that would be huge...

Thanks for sharing.

Interesting but the 3D clouds are still not up to the standard set in MSFS2020.

What we have in V5 is bad but the MSFS clouds sometimes don't convince me....

I haven't tested what Adam did yet but I'm curious!
