ZSPD unusual ATC

Recently bought WF Scenery ZSPD and also updated the AFCAD with one from the AIG forum. It all works well, but P3D ATC is strange. On approach, you can 'preselect' any runway. On landing, you advise when you've vacated the runway, and I couldn't contact ground, to be assigned a gate. I've not come across this before. Is there something 'special' about ZSPD?

Usually these options exist for an airport of airfield without manned ATC, so I wonder if there's a problem with how the ATC was setup at this airport... I do have this scenery but didn't have the opportunity to fly in or out of it yet. I'll check if I have the same issue. For now you might want to revert to the original AFCAD to make sure the original doesn't have the issue.

I think you didn't download the later patch, which fixed this issue.

On initial release, the whole ZSPD is an uncontrolled airport....And this behaivor is typical for them... but mostly some remote GA airport...

 

BTW even if I tried to edit bt ADE, I still couldn't add a functinal ATIS to defalut ATC for any WFSS scenery, ZSPD,ZPPP or ZGSZ. anyone know what's the problem?

Thank you for the suggestions, they helped me joined the dots.

As I am using an AIG-specific AFCAD, I want to keep the updated parking details, so the airport is busy with AI traffic. Looking at the AFCAD in ADE, under the Lists > Comms menu option there were no entries. I filled them in using information on the airport charts, recompiled and everything is now working as you'd hope including ATIS. Here's what I added if it helps anybody else...

Bizarre sometimes so much so its much nicer to fly in silence or with flight following if you must!

Ok Ray downloaded all this, got the registration key, voice mods. Now are you using this in P3DV5.2? does it work with that program given it cannot find FSUIPC 4 because it is now version 6 in P3D.

You need version 6 of FSUIPC that is compatible with P3D 64-bit. Then get the latest version of MakeRwys from here.

Every parking spot has a hold short node does that confuse default ATC? My comms menu has a lot of frequencies there was an update to the scenery in my store account I installed this morning. The runway nodes have a invalid surface type and crash ADE if editing.

@Boeing or not going - This is the reason I was using the AIG updated version of the AFCAD, as it fixes the hold short nodes and can be compiled in ADE.
