July 24, 20214 yr Hi everyone, Here is my review of FranceVFR Airport Pack 1. Is this affordable 5-airport pack really worth it ? Let's find out. As a Captain on the A320 family with several thousand hours on type, I will also produce several Airbus tutorials and informational videos in the near future. - Pilot2PC
July 24, 20214 yr I suggest you wait before buying this product. It is impossible to land in Strasbourg without breaking your plane. France VFR explains that it is Asobo's fault, they know the problem but sell it anyway. It's not professional

It seems that for some users (but not everyone), having photogrammetry ON makes parts of the Strasbourg taxiways (or runway) very unstable, like rolling over a dirt road full of potholes, thus crashing the airplane. Personally I haven't had the problem but I saw a couple of posts online about people not even being able to take off (crash on take off roll...) The FranceVFR team had a theory that people with faster machines were less afected as the morphing of the ground in front of you was done faster (and as such virtually invisible to the user)... not sure what to think of this in the end, it seems to potentially be machine specific and involve a bigger issue with the way the sim behaves for some zones... That's why I didn't mention it in the review. Accolade do you have this problem only in Strasbourg ?

Of lesser importance at several airports such as Montpellier, Brest on Taxiways

I do wonder if the upcoming MSFS update next week is going to have an impact on this problem, since some leaks point to a change in 3rd party scenery especially, do you know anything about this ?
July 24, 20214 yr For Montpellier, I recommend the Pilot Experience Sim scene better than that of FVFR. https://pilotexperiencesim.wixsite.com/shop/pesim-lfmt-msfs Guillaume ASUS ROG STRIX X870 ▪︎ AMD RYZEN 9950X OC 5.5 GHz▪︎ ASUS ROG ASTRAL RTX 5090 OC ▪︎ 32GB 6600 Crucial Ballistix ▪︎ Windows 11 Pro (25H2) ▪︎ 4x Samsung 990 Pro 2TB NVME SSD (OS Drive et MSFS) ▪︎ Corsair RMX 1000W 80 plus Gold PSU ▪︎ LIAN-LI ODYSSEY X black case

This sounds like the „runway tears issue“ of which all airports in photogrammetry areas can be affected. I‘ve encountered it many times, both at generic and handcrafted airports. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/runway-tears-terrain-issues-in-photogrammetry-areas/324479 i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2
