Thread purged ?

Recommended Posts

A thread addressing an anomaly of DC-6 engine simulation  in MSFS seems to have been purged including my posts.

Is the an explanation for this? Maybe it was moved - can't find it.

I looked at your posting history going back a full year and don't see a thing about DC-6 engine simulation.

Yes, my posts are gone as well. There were many posts in the thread, 20 or so. The OP was SIM-something and maybe the title included the words "flight engineer".

I received a rep point from another thread poster for my last of several posts about 6 days ago.  That is gone too. A fair amount of research went into that post - hate to see the the thread "disappeared" due to maybe annoying  someone with mod privileges.

A similar thing happened a few years ago, and I gave up posting here.

I know you are a salt-of-the-earth guy. You might look into this.

I have also been looking through the MSFS 2020 forum topics having to do with DC-6 (PMDG) Flight Engineer, etc.  Looking at your profile with only 24 posts to your name, I didn't come up with anything associated with your screen name.

The were several instance of a couple of "known" members that like to get it on, so to speak, with each other.  Those posts and any one quoting their nastiness would also be eliminated from the topic.

It's a rare occurrence for any of us to totally eliminate an entire topic.  They are usually locked but still in view.

Awaiting the new Microsoft Flight Sim and the purchase of a new system.  Running a Chromebook for now!

When threads or posts are removed from the forums, they are not actually removed, but hidden from public view--administrators and moderators can still see them.

That said, I looked through the history (again) and there are no posts on AVSIM by you on that topic, hidden or otherwise.

There is, however, a thread that matches this description on the PMDG forums where you posted under your username there (Blitzen).  It was started by Florian Steiner (aka SimHeadX) on 11 Jul 21.  A 15-second Google search should lead you back to it...which is exactly how I found it.

I have a washcloth handy if you need it to wipe that egg off your face.

Well, I am glad that this was only a Senior Moment on my part. Thanks.

Hoped it wasn't a repeat of a past event here with a cock-of-the-walk that  could not be challenged and became abrasive.  Wry humor is my usual stock and trade, not anger.

So, egg on the face is OK considering what I had for breakfast this morning.
