Looking forwards to seeing the results. I can imagine we will see a lot of these before vs afters, hopefully all following a similar trend.

Thanks all for your time.

Thank you, this is going to be interesting.

If I may suggest, please also run a test at 2560x1440. The improvements of the new build will be on the CPU side and many people still don't use 4K resolution.

A single test at 4K would mask most of the improvements probably.

@Bilal2104  Thanks for doing this.  Can you just confirm you are running at 4k but with scaling set at 100%?  (I think it looks like you are).

Also, it is only a minor thing, but just to make it easier to check the results afterwards, I notice you have CPU, GPU, RAM Usage the other way around in 'sitting on runway' compared to the other results.

Thanks for taking the time to do it.  The outcome will be interesting.

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Should use Cavok weather for more meaningful results.

Maybe, but the update might affect cloud performance.  I've done my pre update tests with scattered clouds.  It will be interesting to see the comparisons this evening, though a 70 gb udate is going to take a few hours to download, so I may not find out until tomorrow.

Only another hour to wait 🌝

Pretty sure I read that whilst the update would be around 70 gb, the code replaces a lit of ild code and shouldn't increase the size on disk by anywhere near that amount (20 gb was guessed at).

40 for base game. Additional 22 gigs for premium from the store.

YMMV but expect between 50-60 gigs total.
