Taxi Thrust

Recommended Posts

Guest diajohn2

The default a/c is FSX require major thrust to get moving and stay moving. Typically around 50% or so.I know it can be edited somehow but wondered what would be the negative consequences of doing so? FS9 had a similar problem and many of the better add-ons were designed so they could taxi on 25-30%.Any comments and ideas?

Yes it can. Its the 'sim1.dll' module.Someone provided a more realistic one for FS9 but to my knowledge, there isn't one yet for FSX.Maybe, just maybe, Aces have it in mind fo their mythical SP1 patch?

John, be advised that some add-ons allow for this and build into the FDE less friction. So what works for some might not work for all.

I know Dave but keep hoping for that Silver Bullet to cure all. The friction coefficienct or something is the issue. Now for the cure. :*
