Hotfix for CTDs and major issues coming soon

Also interesting/telling is this is the 2nd release that has required a hotfix in spite of a large qualified beta team testing before release...

The next question is, do you think they will beta test the hotfix?

The odd CTD I can tolerate. The degradation in the scenery quality I can't.  At least give me back the option to forgo the FPS increase and let me have my visuals back!

If they do will then listen to the people who they've asked to beta test and put fixing issues above hitting a specific release date ?

Live weather bug is also a priority,

Isn’t that server side?

None the less I gotta stick to GA until this fix it.

last night I took the CJ4 to YVR from Yellowknife and it was ISA+67 at FL300 and I couldn’t climb any higher.

P3D and Xplane are still available since this is a horror of a what ever you want to call it go back to the holly grail of sims .

Not a single chance. After flying MSFS (when it's working), P3D or Xplane are garbage to me.

I am happy about the hotfix coming.  I love the new performance, but I have never had CTD's like this before.  Obviously there are a few other problems that are well talked about on here.  Funnily enough, the 'pop-up' problem troubles me the least at the moment.

I don't blame Asobo for this, as they had a deadline to meet, and I am just grateful they recognised the issues and are trying to fix them quickly.

The biggest problem for me at the moment is not actually the sim, but people on this forum calling people 'negative' or 'whiners' when they are trying to go over the problems they are having.
Some of this is coming from unexpected quarters now - people who I used to respect, now including terms like 'first world problems', and how it is just a 'game'.

Well, I take my simming seriously, and I have never spent hundreds and hundreds on addons (hardware and software) on just a 'game' before.
I just counted at least 35 payware addons which I bought supporting the development community.  So it isn't very funny to belittle it as just a 'game', especially when you have spent big bucks on it, it all worked well, then suddenly things don't.
Yes, in with the current mood of things, I will be called a 'cry-baby' now I suppose .  It reflects more badly on the name callers really though - they are looking downright embarrassing lately.

PS.  Please don't post suggestions for the CTD's, as I know what I am doing, and have tried all of the usual, plus they are likely the ones Asobo has recognised and say they are going to fix.

They both was removed from my older pc the minute fs2020 was out . SU5 made it even better for me but again I also know that’s not always the case for everyone after updates .

Image removed as image is no longer available.

Am I the only person happy with no issues that bother me? People keep saying I am trolling on the msfs forums when I post this.

Done a couple of flights now in the FBW A320 with zero issues or CTDs. Yeh some stuff have changed but it just seems minor to me.

I had no issues until today, now I can't load any airport in the world.

Good to hear about the patch. My MSFS is crashing all the time. Not playable. All that drama in the last two days really begs the question why in the world do they make those updates mandatory? Would have been so nice to just keep the old version for 1 or 2 more weeks until the dust has settled down and then update. Would have also let to much less drama on the forums...

FANTASTIC !!

Yet others have issues and  while frankly I've had a mostly trouble free and uneventful upgrade myself with nothing show stopping to complain about it would be nice if others can just respect that everyone is different and stuff may not work the same for others. I was in their shoes when Asobo completely screwed up the first bunch of updates.

Give these people the space to air their issues and provide tangible support or solutions if you can. Otherwise enjoy the update.
