Here is something you can check.

Just to elaborate on incompatibility issues,

A lot of old mods and liveries all used the same generic names for some of their folders. In SU5 it causes conflicts when a mod calls for it's textures, and the sim finds several mods using that generic folder name. Modders were instructed by Asobo to rename their file structure and update their layout.json files to prevent conflicts.

Payware TNCM causes all kinds of issues on my FS20 install, and for that same reason.

I'm quoting posts by Pieloth.,

Unfortunately you hit a known issue with the 3rd parties airports, which use same folder names for materials, leading to a CTD

You very likely have another airport with same mymaterials name somewhere

So renaming the folder as you did is fine

But you need also to update the layout.json file with the new name you assigned to the folder. Use a text editor for that

There’s also a utility that build the layout.json for you, it’s called MSFSLayoutGenerator.exe, just search the forum here aand you will find the download link

awdesigns need to update their package ASAP for this issue

In the root folder for awdesigns-tncm, there is a materialLibs subfolder

Under materialLibs subfolder is a textures subfolder

You should change the name of the textures subfolder to something like:

awd-tncm-tffg-textures

Then, in the root awdesigns-tncm folder, there’s a layout.json file

Open it with a text editor or notepad

Change any occurence of

materialLibs/textures

by:

materialLibs/awd-tncm-tffg-textures

Be careful to keep the rest of text for each line changed

If you mess it up, just delete the complete awdesigns-tncm folder and redownload it from your profile content manager in MSFS

I fixed TNCM with his methods,  and it worked.    But I ended up just getting rid of any suspect mods,  and it made my system stable.

SU5 compatible mods don't have this problem,  which is why I download only SU5 compatible stuff from Flightsim.to.   I'm not risking my stability.

I don't care what I download now,  I check the file structure for this.  Especially airports and other scenery.  Last week I bought an airport from the marketplace,  and it had this folder problem.

BTW,  CTRL+H is the easiest way to replace every instance with one click.

You need to empty the (live or whatever it is called) as well, the one you can set a limit on.

It's called rolling cache.   It can be deleted in C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache
