Im flying A32NX right now after the hot fix  and it seems very broken.

36000 Alt selected and it is doing its own thing. At only 56000kg, the FMC is saying Opt Alt is FL210. Then suddenly FL390. I suspect the live weather is messed up.

Apart from that the 320 cockpit looks terrible. Aliasing all over the place where there was never any before. The green line on the ND is a blurr. Asobo really stuffed up.

And to top it all, it is a random pot of luck whether Navigraph charts will display on Flypad. Most times when I scan the code which you have to do on every flight, it says the code is not valid and then there is nothing you can do except restart the sim or go without the charts. I am cancelling my monthly Navi subs until they can fix it properly.

Edit - almost forgot to mention, taxing the plane has gone for a ball too. Way too much power to get her moving. Came to a halt during the turn to line up on rwy and I needed near full power to get it rolling again. She was previously well behaved on the taxi, now it feels like the default 787.

Yes, the bug is alive and kicking just as strong as ever.

It's conflicting with some mod. Not sure which yet.

Before todays hotfix I too had the sim crashing when loading up the aircraft. After the hot fix I can now fly the aircraft but I have the following :

  • cannot enter managed heading, the button is unresponsive (it does change to a nice {!} colour when the mouse hovers over}
  • managed speed is unresponsive
  • the default position of the throttles seems to be in full reverse thrust

and I hate the way the buttons change colour when the mouse hovers over them. So I look forward to an update from the FBW team.

On top of this all my pre-set control setting are gone. It is almost like going back to last August 😊

I have the DEV version installed

I see the same issue with heading, although managed and manual speed is ok.

The buttons changing colour can be fixed by turning on legacy mode in the assistance menu for cockpit items

The throttle issue is by design, you can calibrate the throttle positions in the FlyPad.

i7 12700K , DDR4 64GB RAM @3600MHz, Asus Z690-Plus D4 MB, Gainward 4090 RTX Graphics, 850W Corsair PSU, Kraken AIO watercooler, Nvme 1TB ssd, 1TB ssd, 500GB ssd.

Yeah I can’t the fly the FBW anymore. Hotfix has screwed it. (Im using latest dev). Desperately awaiting those fine people on the FBW team to release a patch. And to think I was all keen this weekend to go on Vatsim and purchase a Navigraph subscription!

Just tried the dev build. CTD trying to load a flight. Rock solid with the CJ4, DC-6 and 787.

The FBW A320 is truly broken at the moment, well it is for me though some seem to be flying it okay.

I have posted this in another thread so apologies for repeating myself. The issues are:

  • Throttle defaults to full reverse thrust. I have tried to calibrate via the fly pad but with no success
  • Speed selector unresponsive
  • Heading selector unresponsive, cannot enter managed mode. The aircraft will only fly to heading '000'
  • Altitude selector, cannot enter managed mode.

The self colouring buttons when the mouse hovers over them, I was told I could turn this off via a legacy option in the assist menu but I cannot find such an option. If anyone can help on this I would be very grateful. Detailed instructions please as I am not very computer literate 🤔

I have nothing other than the A320 in my community folder so there are no conflicts with add-on's

You are on dev version, right? For the throttles: You have to click "save & apply" - even if it is greyed out - after calibrating, otherwise it won't work. Oh and deselect "reverse axis" while calibrating.

For the legacy option, it's not in the assitence menu but in the normal optiosn menu (I think "misc" or "accessibility").

For the rest I think you have to delete and reinstall the FBW dev version, it worked well for me yesterday.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Thanks, will give it a go. Yes I have the latest Dev version.

Thanks Fiorentoni, the throttles are now okay. Unfortunately everything else is still the same. I also note that the menu 'bar' towards the top of the screen remains visible, it does not fade away like it did before.

For that ugly bar I just recommend that mod here: https://de.flightsim.to/file/9900/no-handle-bar

Simple, will just make it unvisible unless you move your mouse up there. Perfectly compatible.

For the rest well make sure the livery is compatible, and consult the following site: https://docs.flybywiresim.com/start/installation/

I suspect a botched install with some old files remaining, so a clean install (instructions on that site) might be worth a try. Good luck.

Ive tried a clean install and there are still heaps of issues.  Other birds fly fine (ish) but this one needs some real patching.  What a shame given all the talent and time put in by the FBW team.
