Personal observances of what is 'broken' in SU5...

In addition to this, I believe they drastically cut the real airplane traffic as well.

Yesterday I flew twice from a deserted Dubai International OMDB (on a Saturday afternoon) and on my way to Kuwait the ATC mentioned only another plane.

With the ATC still causing stutters when the transcript has more than 10 lines (after 15 years), with the ATC that still instructs to climb to 14,000 ft in the proximity of the airport and the A320 autopilot that suddenly makes a 180° without reason. A320 that still struggles to climb, now above 24,000 ft.

Etc. etc.

SU5 added bugs to an already long list and who still defends it must be the people who uses the "sim" just to spot landmarks with the C152.

I flew into KJFK around noon time today. Now I realize that in real life, JFK is not a very busy airport ( LOL ), but I didn't see one aircraft taking off or landing or on approach. I had live traffic on.

Whereas I am seeing so much traffic that I am contemplating shutting off the setting. ( I tend to dither on the runway while doing this and that, and planes can back up so far behind me that it makes me feel guilty. Plus I can hear other planes being told to go around because of me)

Yeah it all depends on the server and server load. I noticed in (what I think is less busy hours) I see a lot more live traffic, than say in the middle of day north america.

Bob, I have to agree with you. I really do believe that we were 'smoke and mirrored' with this update. Take for instance what I reported about almost a nuclear loss of actual spawning A.I. (this includes road traffic!) and that they will actually be 'deleted' right in front of your eyes. Such other coding trickery.   I mean, ..how can my GTX 1070 all of a sudden stay 'green bar' and give me, in my case under 'Ultra' (smile),  almost a 50 percent boost?!?!?!?  C'mon...yep...there was some 'skullduggery ' happening in the new coding.  I believe that now for sure....smoke and mirrors, Asobo style... and they are being caught and called out on it,  by we Grumpy Old Men and Women...lol.

Road traffic set at 100% only appears more or less under the aircraft at a couple of thousand feet.  Sometimes it looks there is no traffic.

Doesn't really show how you feel about SU5.  I will not stop using MSFS because it has been a ground breaking product up to this point.  What I am doing though is reverting to X Plane when I want to fly in an Orbx TrueEarth area, it just looks better after SU5 (apart from the weather - even though SU5 has introduced banding in the clouds occasionally).

I still feel this will be fixed and we will get back sharp textures and fixed LOD.

I don't tend to use a lot of AI traffic (GTX 1080Ti, so can't afford the headroom!)....however, I do love a decent amount of cars and road traffic on the roads, and I've noticed a huge reduction in that.    I'd had a road traffic setting of 20% prior to SU5 and had a decent amount of cars on the roads.  With that same setting, I can pass the M25 (London) during rush hour and there is 1 car about every quarter mile!    I turned up the setting but it's barely adding much road traffic.

Your experience has totally mirrored mine. Had my slider always at 20-25 percent. Never higher...or the roads would flood...now?  Like you...at 100 percent only one every mile or so.   They didn't cull back assets?  Right...B.S. (or Better Said), LOL!

That's a bit of an exaggeration me thinks? Yeah it's notably less than before, but it's not that much less.

I don't see that at all...and barely any now on country and county roads.  In Ontario, Canada on the 401, between cities...you'd think it was still the lock down of C19....but glad to see you are having a different outcome for sure!
