I always had pretty decent download speeds… until SU5. My PC ran for around 20 hours to get SU5 installed. Then oddly, the Content Manager stuff, which was a similar amount of data, updated in a fraction of that time. Clearly the MS servers are unable to deliver a constant flow of data. It is pot luck on what your download speeds will reach, regardless how fast your incoming line is. Of course, stands to reason that the longer you are exposed to downloading, the higher the risk of a data corruption issue.
