August 9, 20214 yr Had something similar after I dared to move my render scaling above 100. saw slight pauses and some screen tearing until I set it back to 100 Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
August 9, 20214 yr Author I don't use rolling cache, but some of you have pointed out some very good observations on what could cause these random stutters and pauses. I am wondering if it has to do with me having having multiple apps open while running the sim? Perhaps they are taking up some valuable CPU resources away from MSFS. For example I have Microsoft Edge open since I like to browse the web and watch YouTube and surf while I fly. I have about 30 tabs open, and also Discord. Other things running in the background is logitech ghub, logitech gaming software, logitech profiler, discord, NZXT CAM beta which I noticed uses the most CPU resource, highest I saw it use was 12% andaround 6GB up memory. Which I think could be due to a memory leak. I do use Henrik's Global Ship AI addon as well. It could be a lot of things causing this and I hope to pinpoint what it is as I see quite a few of us are experiencing very similar behaviors. August 9, 20214 yr I can reproduce the stutter at Heathrow. Happens in any plane. Headed down the runway towards the end it stutters. Flight is to Charles de Gaulle. Then flying over a big motorway shortly after that I get a small stutter. Taking off the KDEN i do not see these stutters. I do see it at KSFO. It isn't random. It happens at almost the same spot on these airports. So I think it could be airport/scenery related. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

I would like to run a test to see if I get those stutters at the same moment as you. Do you have Premium Deluxe version because it comes with a handcrafted EGLL and KSFO. Folders are called GAIST_MSFS_V1 and gaist_msfs_v1_CVT_ if you have installed Henrik Nielsen's (excellent) mod. I’m currently testing with this add on removed, as I have my suspicions about it after reading several posts over the months regarding long pauses due to on the fly conversion - as I understand it anyway. anyway so far so good👍 New PC Ryzen 9850X3D - 32gb ddr5 6000Mhz - MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk wifi - Gigabyte wind force gaming OC 5090 - 2TB Sabrent NVMe. August 9, 20214 yr Speaking of EGLC. I recall a nasty several seconds pause during approach to EGLC from the West close to the O2 a couple of days ago. This is the DeLuxe version, using ORBX EGLC and Landmarks. As I said, both LODs set to 4. Flight at day, C172, High Level clouds. No VR. Global ships active, if that matters. I could investigate further, but not today.
