August 12, 20214 yr I've noticed this and wondered if you have if you have found a way to get rid of it. It doesn't always happen but it does often enough to where I'd liek to lose it if possible. I have very fast storage and sufficient memory, and tried some tricks w/ Process Lasso but never quite solved the issue. August 12, 20214 yr Author I read in an article this mod does this to MSFS: "Disables the default ATC". Do you personally know what this does, i.e. have you used it yourself? I ask because ATC isn't stuttering at all, but video animation can sometimes stutter briefly when the clip plays. Thanks! It just limits the transcript window (ATC history) to 4 lines. 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber

I have tired Process Lasso assigning a different core to one of the audio processes in task manager but it didnt really help. The stutter does not occur until the ATC transcript reaches a certain number of lines. This is a very old bug, inherited by FS2004 or even earlier versions. The fix limits the transcript to 4 lines, everything works as usual but without stuttering. 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber

It says right there in the filename what it does: ATC stuttering fix. 11 hours ago, MrFuzzy said: No, it doesn't disable the ATC. It just limits the transcript window (ATC history) to 4 lines. Thanks, MrFuzzy, installed this in the community folder - seems to improve the stuttering. Doesn't disable ATC, but I did have a weird glitch: ATC reverted briefly from Azure to text to speech, or whatever these ugly voices are called. It then flipped back to Azure. Will investigate further.
