Like many a real-life flight, the first year of MSFS has been bumpy at times  -- not unexpected, for those who paid attention to the pre-rollout information about the project. There were times during the year when my patience was tested, but what a fantastic advance in flight simming this is! I can't wait to see what another year will bring.

True but I have too admit I don`t have any, most of the world has not been updated yet and the sim is still beta.

I do because I  move around a lot.  Helps to have an unlimited / unthrottled data plan and good signal of course.

Happy Birthday MSFS and congratulations Asobo on your new child's 1st birthday.

Like all new babies, they cry, need feeding, poop a lot, dribble, babble and make a big mess everywhere and can be very very naughty...

Are you talking about the flight sim, or some of the users?

I'm always struck by just what a complete luddite UnPrepar3D is by comparison....when taken into this context:

1.  I, like an word not allowed, gave LM $600 to play starting w/ Version 2, then 3, then 4.  Thank God MSFS came along before I did it again w/ Version 5, which, for $200 more, would have left me feeling more like and word not allowed than I already did!  Near as I can tell, MSFS has already saved me $80 🤣

2.  I spent hundreds to thousands trying to make P3D look as good as possible.  Then, when I needed for it to run the PMDG NGXu and 777, I ended up disabling 1/2 of the Orbx regions I had installed and moved scenery sliders down to normal or sparse, just to get those planes to fly flawlessly with my 5Ghz I9-9900K.  And now when I use P3D which I still do primarily when MSFS stumbles, I fly only around dawn/dusk/night when outside visuals do not matter in the slightest.   When I think about how so much stayed EXACTLY THE SAME, thru all of those version updates, the Flight Planner, its pathetic map, the sky, night lighting, ATC, default airports, I'm blown away that I actually paid the multi billion $$ defense contractor all of those $$.  What can I say, I was an word not allowed, and apparently a desparate word not allowed at that.

3.  My last flight in P3D was done a two weeks ago or so, departing KDEN OTW to KOAK.  And this primarily because of post SU5 troubles in MSFS.   About 20 minutes out from KOAK, of the venerable ages old P3D, what do you know...a CTD 🤣

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MSFS--Fantastic Job ASOBO!  Keep it up we're with you!
