Fix for the FXS DC-3 prop rotation?

Recommended Posts

Guest kimdahl

Hi guysThis may seem like a minor problem compared to the serious FSX performance issues etc, but this little detail just irritates me. Just like it was the case with the default DC-3 in FS9, the prop rotation of the number one engine of the FSX DC-3 is wrong. In the 'good old' FS9 days you could correct this by adding the following to the aircraft.cfg: rotation=1,1But this doesn't do the trick in FSX. How do I fix it then?Best regardsKim Dahl

Hi Kim,I can tell you why that will not work, and cannot be fixed via the aircraft.cfg. All animations are baked into the visual model now, where rotation-based objects, such as tires, props, etc. in FS9 were driven by the sim, therefore could be changed by the config. Sorry.Regards,Owen

What?!? Then I really wish ACES had got it right this time around. Surely someone must have told them about the rotation error after the release of FS9... Well, off to fly the MAAM-SIM bird :-)
