You're never too early, as they say ... Right now, people are selling pictures of digital rocks for $1.2million....

Sounds like a great way to launder money! Well we know Crack Head H-B abstract paintings are fetching 500K these days... Funny how the crack head in Venice Beach ,CA is lucky if he can sell one of his/hers artistic paintings for $20...

Brian, like previous topics, just about every topic in here, pointing out X-Plane's positives results in MSFS trolls (yes, that's what they are) coming in here and start screaming how much better MSFS does something.

This is the most peaceful it's been for more than a few days.

It's nice to just have some chit chat in here without the usual trolling responses.

Edit:

Brian Mackie's post has somehow been deleted (if it was a mod, feel free to delete my last 2 posts), so my posts might appear out of left field.

He basically posted, "Can this thread get any more irrelevant?  Go out and do something useful."

I'll make sure I screenshot the posts next time.

That was the spirit of the OP 🙂

BTW: for the very first time in live I was able, yesterday at the end of the day after pushing XP11 into my new built rig with the RTX 3060 Ti, to run X-Plane 11 at pretty much full settings.

I didn't set Word Detail full right, but I used for the first time HDR and the setting right to it ( full right ) as well as the most exquisite AA settings and the Reflections which I had always set to off.

The Vsync selected and Vulkan enabled gave me consistent 60 fps for the whole ride. Of course I just use default scenery bu.t I could easily get one of the many alternatives... Default weather is just plain good / consistent for me, although ASXP does help with it's tools and historical weather

I'm in the fence regarding the Felis 742... Will see when it get's released and Alexis gives me his hands-on feedback 🙂

Later this week I'll push P3D v5 HF2, monthly Pro License is only $10, because I really want to try the FSLabs Airbus in it, and see how it performs in this "Bomb" :-). I do have the Madeira ( LPMA ) scenery for FSX / P3D...

And next week I might push DCS as well... The new clouds look fancy ! So will the Channel Map... and the Marianas...

Ah!  IL-2 was installed on saturday 🙂  It's still my preferred sim, I must confess... I really don't know, but there's something about it that deals with my emotions more than any other flightsim 😍. Yet, I always come up with the sensation of not really knowing what to do with these Combat sims, and then rising the usual mental processes of beating myself for wanting to play War games, and going after someone to shoot at him... 😕  ( I totally avoid bombing missions or attacking ground targets whatsoever ). I feel so childish doing so, and at the same time I think - heck I should be trying to finally learn how to program in Python, or set the transition from Check Point to Palo Alto I need at the office, or solve the BGP quirks in the CISCOs ( also at the office ), or read a soaring book, go out for a walk, make sex ! , try to get in shape with the most modern navigation techniques and understand what the guys write about it at the Aerowinx forums... or travel 85 kms and go flying the LS1... ( the savings from not doing it as often as I would like to got me the RTX 😕 )

The new rig, with its 1TB + 500 GB nvme x 2 SSDs is not going to leave reasons to keep uninstalling... other than those deeply tied to my intricate neural net 🙄

Its a lot like smoking.

The first fee times you try it you wonder what all the fuss is about. But then you get addicted and everyone who doesnt know such pleasures thinks you are anti social.

I also fired up XP and flew the Toliss down to Spain. Such a joy to use such a polished plane. Really nice! And the visuals we tolerable. Payware airports, OrbXGB and Spain UHD all souped up with XVIsion and Active Sky etc.

But then I flew to France where I don't have orthos. Oh dear oh dear....😂

I do night flights from time to time when I have a desire for my expensive XP payware jets 😄

Night flights are the answer! The payware planes are sublime.

Smokers are the most social people ever since it was banned indoors nearly everywhere. The air of solidarity when outside on a miserable day is just something special.

The ToLiss A321 was my ride as well. But the rest of the sim was vanilla, except Enhanced Cloudscapes.

With one important difference. Smoking is difficult to quit.

u bet , took me 3-4 years after a long 22 years of being a chimney, and let me tell you  alcohol you will be able to avoid but smoking remains for life even after you quit.

Oooh, I had the opposite. Managed to quit the weed after about 15years of moderately heavy smoking, but this Bordeaux you’ll have to prise from my cold, dead hands.
