Is it possible to fly and operate a plane with just the honeycomb alpha yoke? I don't have dedicated rudders or throttles yet.

There are keyboard commands for those but it would be a real pain.

Currently an xbox controller for when I'm lazy and just want to casually sit back, relax and fly. Also have a logitech xtreme 3d pro flight stick.

I guess if you only had an Alpha, you can also plug in your flight stick and only map it for the throttle for now...But highly suggest at some point to get the HC Bravo, This thing is fantastic!

Yes I plan on getting the whole set. For you guys with the honeycomb yoke and throttles, how are you mounting them? This is a concern for me because I would hate to mount it on top of my desk because then I have no place for my keyboard and mouse. I've seen some products that let you mount them to the underside of the desktop, which looks much cleaner and nicer, but my concern with that is clearance for my legs when I sit down. I guess I can rectify that issue by just lowering my chair but I'm not sure if that would give it enough room for my legs not to touch the yoke. Could you guys post some screenshots of your honeycomb yoke/throttle setup. I'd like to get some ideas.

Thanks for the pics, but like I mentioned, mounting it above the desk takes up a lot of precious real estate away. I don't like having my keyboard on top like that and there's no room for my mouse. Have you thought of doing an under mount instead?

No I don’t have any plans for mounting it underneath, the way I have it setup works for me. My computer is only strictly used for flight simming and absolutely nothing else so I don’t need to constantly move anything around.

There is a way to mount the throttle below the desk, but you would have to get a piece of metal flatbar with holes in it in which you can then attach it to the Premade holes on top of the unit and then anchor into the underside of the desk, someone on YouTube did that , just can’t remember the user name or have a link but a search on YouTube and you should be able to find it. (Not sure how well it works though)

Yes it is. They sell mounting equipment for this and it looks much nicer than the typical desktop mount.
