August 29, 20214 yr Apologies for the provocative sounding title. I'm looking to purchase this aircraft and hoping that is as good as the Majestic Q400 was for FSX all those years ago.. However, watching this video (https://youtu.be/aAxz9JcAOC) around 59 minutes, the pilot cannot get the efb to correctly add weight or fuel to the aircraft. Later on, when he starts the APU (@ 1:18:50), the overhead panel switch does not light up either to show that it has powered on. Also, I have read about the stuck IAS tape indicator as a result of the SU5 update but have not seen a fix mentioned. Can someone who owns and flies this aircraft please confirm if these behaviours have been fixed yet as this is important for me to know before purchasing. I haven't yet had a reply to the same question on the official forum. Thank you. August 29, 20214 yr Just flew it on two trips last night after a very long time. It worked flawlessly for me, the bugs you pointed out, I didnt notice. The FMC/AP worked w no issues whatsoever and ILS captured on both approaches. I honestly enjoy flying this waaaaaaaaay more then an airbus which to me is too boring as Im used to flying cessnas IRL. I did get a couple random CTD after pushback started (not sure if this was the sim or the plane? ) but very pleased with how far this plane has developed. I think a lot of people dont have a clue how to fly this bird because they are used to airbus or boeing. I cant wait for the ATR or the Dash 8 to come out. 7900x3d , 64gb 6200mhz 30CL Ram, RTX 3080
August 29, 20214 yr Author Thank you Wiler. Much appreciated. Can someone confirm if adding fuel and pax in the efb actually updates them in the MSFS fuel and weight window too? August 29, 20214 yr The "set payload in simulator" button in the efc has to be pushed twice. It doesnt show up in the fuel and weight windows, buts it looks like its only a display bug in the fuel and weight window. With heigher weight the aircraft clearly acts differently (needed thrust for taxing, climb rate). I had no ctd so far (about 20 flights), but the ILS Capture acts sometimes weird, if the approach speed is to slow / to fast. The autopilot tries then to catch up the glideslope and oversteers a lot.
August 29, 20214 yr Author Thank you merawen. Do you know if the IAS tape bug now shows the actual speed? Edited August 29, 20214 yr by toby23 Ryzen 5800X3D, 64GB RAM, RTX 4090, Windows 11Link to my: Dynamic Flight Dispatch Tool

I haven't yet had a reply to the same question on the official forum. Thank you. Any aircraft written in WASM will not show a change in the default MSFS loading menu when pax or cargo are added using the custom EFB loading menu. This is a bug in MSFS itself. Even though the MSFS load menu does not show a change when passengers or cargo are added, the aircraft weight definitely does change. The PMDG DC-6, which is also written in WASM has the same behavior. Both aircraft have their own custom EFB, loading menu and that is the only correct and reliable way to change the aircraft load. Trying to manipulate loading with the default MSFS load menu runs a definite risk (in the case of the CRJ) of corrupting the aircraft CG, which could easily make it unflyable. The APU switch behavior is correct. The left (master) switch in the real aircraft has no light. When pressed, the only way to determine if the APU is energized is to observe status display (fourth display from the left). Once the APU computer completes its self-test, the APU RPM and EGT gauges will appear, along with an indication of the APU inlet door position. (It will go from “closed” to “open”. Yes, the “freezing” airspeed tape was fixed in the latest update. August 29, 20214 yr I’ve just flown the crj over the last two days and there are two issues that are causing me to switch over to the WT cj4 for the time being. First one is the coupled vnav does not work correctly. The aircraft will “dive” and trim wildly as it approaches a waypoint with an altitude restriction before settling back to a more normal descent rate. The second issue is the manipulator pushbutton knobs are broken at least in legacy mouse mode. A user on the aerosoft forums has kindly worked up a fix mod, and it mostly works, but then the buttons become “sticky.” Overall it’s still a fantastic aircraft and I would not hesitate recommending it, but SU5 has caused some issues that for me make it less than enjoyable right now. With limited time to sim these days, I'm only flying the Flying Iron Spitfire. In the past, I flew in DCS (rarely) and IL2 (a lot) due to the excellent missions and campaigns. I miss the A2A Spitfire from FSX, which I loved. Edited August 29, 20214 yr by toby23 Ryzen 5800X3D, 64GB RAM, RTX 4090, Windows 11Link to my: Dynamic Flight Dispatch Tool

Then I attempted to do a flight Saturday morning and the A/P in general started acting up above FL260, it didn't maintain the altitude, it wasn't following the FP and it was just turning as it wanted and when it wanted. I wonder if any of this stuff is in any shape or form related to a time and day and their server loads. Jacek G.
