We get a little slice of what’s going on inside Asobo, and at the same time, I’m sure some of our concerns about MSFS may indirectly make it to the top people at Asobo/Microsoft via the Working Title folks. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

I love it and have said it here many times in spite of its shortcomings and I am kind of proud that it comes from my country. Asobo is a great team. This is not at all the issue of this thread. And of my particular post. Now go away my Karma may bites you 😄 ! Nah.. couldnt look away. A bit like watching clips of skateboarders falling on their a doing something stupid. What good does it do to us ? What you call our "opinions" on priorities are not opinions at all, there are both observation of facts and attentive reading of what your head honcho has said to FSElite.... and what he has not said. We , the users, observe that the actual priorities, the priorities which are on Neuman's roadmap, the priorities that have gotten a concretisation are new DLCs now the the Xbox version has been completed, these are not improvements of the existing aircraft, corrections of the bugs, completions of features (weather). These are facts not opinions. Yea because Neumann getting questionned about lod bugs or grass being too tall would make for a great read...LOL. Kaosfere is 100% right actually. how do i know? well i just do. This is a fact, if you think im lying, then thats your opinion 😃 see how facts and opinions work? tricky huh? the fact is yes there are bugs. Thinking they are not being worked on is your opinion my friend.

I have come into this at a fairly late stage. However, I would like to say that in my opinion, I have seen a lot of topics in this and other fora which include a lot of stuff which is definitely NOT based purely on facts. Why doesn't Joerg say in all honesty: 'Our focus right now is on x and not on y?' I think everyone can feel the disconnect at the moment between what simmers want and what the developers want. This is what irks the reasonable members here that want an honest answer and a clear direction. For some of us it is not a game, it is a serious hobby, with home cockpits and/or a lot of time/money invested. And for us the direction taken, is confusing or at least for me..... Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.
August 30, 20214 yr If this has been mentioned I apologise because I admit I may have skipped or missed any references to my comment. First, let me say that I have long ranted about getting the core issues fixed before moving on. It has long been a real bugbear for me. However, I noted that somewhere in this conversation it has been mentioned that Jorg has been working on Germany for 1.5 years which definitely points out (to me) that he is just part of a division which makes up a part of the MS/Asobo consortium. It therefore makes sense that someone (or another division of the whole) is looking after the core of the sim. To me it seems fairly obvious that these divisions may not really be communicating totally with each other and that in itself may be half the answer. When I ranted and raved about core issues I was under the impression that they were all working together and it was simply a matter of ceasing updates and fixing core issues. Now that I am more aware of what is actually happening (I may well have been among a minority in not understanding) I think the actual solution may be in actually adding competent staff to the core issues and leave the update division alone. This, of course also depends on any fixes being fully related to the other divisions in order to prevent conflicts. It may well be that this comment is very simplistic, but the core issues really have to be fixed and the sooner the better. MS and Asobo will be pretty much aware of their own shortcomings (if any) and they will be ruled by the community desires and of course, the almighty dollar. This comment is just my opinion and is not intended to be a snarky remark directed at MS or Asobo. I just hope my rants about getting the core fixed becomes irrelevant in the near future. I think you may well have misunderstood what I MEANT to say LOL This also brought to my attention that it was multiple teams or divisions or just people, who are working on the entire project. I initially thought it was just one team who were not really communicating terribly well with one another. I apologise for the confusion. Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. August 30, 20214 yr So, again a thread that should only be exciting but has again so much negativity. It seems some here are: Frustrated that the Sim does not meet their expectations while new features are being announced. Others seem to be irritated that MS does not focus on core platform topics such as GPS, Weather or the Digital Twin 2.0 in their marketing. I am happy with MSFS where it is and excited that there is commitment and roadmap until 2023 and beyond. it is just difficult to stay positive if every topic is being trashed and their is no common joy in this community here…
August 30, 20214 yr Commercial Member There are indeed many branches, both in skills and in builds. Many bugs have been fixed already. But they havent yet been pushed to the main branch, it just takes a long time to integrate them. Manoeuvering and perating a massive title like that is really not as simple as some seems to think. We only make planes, tiny ones, and even having a clean master for that is really challenging. and thats with 4-5 test pilots, 1 mission guy, 1 screenshot guy, 1 FDE guy, 2 main devs, and still, stuff just slips out, so imagine that, times a thousand.

It’s definitely some who are very clearly communicating their dissatisfactions but there are also many who are overall very satisfied with what the devs are giving us. Of course I doubt anyone is 100% satisfied. It’s not justified to say only those who feel a disconnect are the reasonable members of the community. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
