Recommended Posts

Guest WARlrus

Hi all!I was wondering if someone can help me with contact points.I've read through the SDK, and tried to change them on my vehicle, but no matter what I set them to, I can't seem to get the height right.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/167676.jpgThere you can see what my problem is!I've tried changing the wheel radius, but I that dosn't affect it!Can anyone tell me what parameters I need to change, or point me in the right direction!

Haven't played with FSX ground vehicles at all, but assuming they work like aircraft in the past, the position of the visual model in relation to the terrain is determined by the static CG and pitch settings. The contact points influence the flight model (and in turn this might cause changes in the visual model/ animations / effects type of things).scott s..

Thanks guys!In the end, a friend of mine did some magic with VB and got it working! Now I have another problem -.- as usual. The textures appear "glassy" or translucent (semi-seethrough).I'm using the default .dds files in /texture/, and any other aircraft I've converted in a similar manner work fine! What does this translucent frame mean? It is in colour, but not solid!
