September 8, 20214 yr I normally don't do this but I went and checked out at least one famous landmark. Looks good and there was someone else in a TBM or something buzzin' around doing the same thing while I was hovering. "That's what" - She

September 8, 20214 yr The best thing about WU6? I think it might be that at first blush, with the exception of that lighting issue, it's been successful enough that the nattering nabobs of negativism have fallen back on complaining more about the update process than the update itself. 🙄😂 Edited September 8, 20214 yr by kaosfere

September 8, 20214 yr Has anyone noticed if AI has working nav lights again under WU6? Haven't taken a flight yet but all updated was using the AI Nav light fix from Flightsim.to that was broken after SU5.
September 8, 20214 yr For me, WU6 performs better than even WU5. While still maintaining my previous 30FPS, WU6 now allows me to raise my Anisotropic Filtering from 8X to 16X; raise my Texture Supersampling from 4X4 to 8X8; raise my Terrain Level of Detail from 100 to 200; while setting the new Off Screen Terrain Pre-Caching to Ultra. The results are breathtaking. The sim truly looks like reality now, and performance is fantastic! Spectacular job, Asobo!!! Thank you all!!! Now just let me buy an MSFS polo shirt and coffee mug, and I'll be totally satisfied. September 8, 20214 yr I did a quick look see around Vienna. Pretty great. The thing I noticed right off is the building roofs were no longer molten. That weird artifact is, hopefully, gone. I had a Saitek yoke, 2 x throttle quadrants and the Saitek trim wheel (along with the Saitek radio stack and multi stack… auto pilot controls, flaps, trim). After update 5 I had major trim issues on a few planes (not all). Over this past weekend I installed a Honeycomb Alpha yoke and Bravo throttle quadrant. All trim issues are fixed. Everything works great. I highly recommend the Honeycomb Alpha yoke and Bravo throttle quadrant. They’re a huge improvement over the Saitek set up I was using. It’s a totally new and improved flight sim experience. Also, I’m still using the Saitek radio stack with Spad and it’s working great.

September 8, 20214 yr I was just looking at the map in game, and saw a huge hurricane swirling in the Atlantic. So I set live weather, spawned at the edge of the storm in my C208B, switched to NEXRAD on the center display, and flew into the storm. Wow. The clouds looked fantast, and the weather was incredible. It quickly turned into an IFR flight into heavy rain / thunderstorm. I was looking out the windscreen, serenely picking my way through clouds. Then the skies turned dark, I stopped paying attention to the attitude indicator, and noticed I was in a 1500fpm dive. Decided I better pay more attention before I crater into the ocean. So fun.

I can't answer your question, but I will say that I've been using this mod and I love it's lights. When I flew into the hurricane I flipped on my landing and taxi lights and the beams looked cool. Looks like Asobo fixed the weird checkerboard landing light textures. https://flightsim.to/file/12071/new-light Edited September 8, 20214 yr by Waldo Pepper

ATC still needs a lot of work, but the only thing ATC related in this update was fixing the constant nag to maintain an altitude you for which you were already level. They did accomplish that, and I don't think anything else was intended to be addressed. PC: I9-10900K, RXT 3090, 64GB RAM, 3840x1080 49" super-ultrawide
