VR controller support incomming!

Recommended Posts

So in the feedback snapshot they say controller support will release in mid november with sim update 7. What do you guys expect? Do you think it will be like in x-plane or do you think they will have like fully modeled hands with finger tracking?

It'll be basic I think going on their past record, can't imagine they'll have modelled hands. I'm glad to see it being introduced although i won't be using controllers, I'm far more interested in a Head Pointer so I can do away with the mouse altogether. That's a basic feature really.

I can only hope that I can have the choice to use VR controllers like I have had with X-Plane for the last 3.5 years.

On X-Plane I use a physical yoke and pedals. All other interaction in the VR cockpit is done with my Valve Index controllers. As a VR flight sim streamer I get to show how I interact with the VR cockpit and my physical controlles.

Time will tell how good the integration is as I know what I think is the best so far in the flight sims I have used.

Looks pretty cool

Is there any chance that MSFS support this in the future or is it designed only to work properly with DCS?

Would be interesting to hear from anyone who's actually using it in a flight simulator, not necessarily MSFS.

Anyone?

One point is certainly configuration as (I suppose) you will have to assign action by action manually

Kind regards, Michael

Seriously!

Just give us a simple head pointer FFS, anything is better than this low effort 2d mouse cursor in VR.

Obviously it can be done. Thanks!

I was rather thinking about this to support pressing/clicking/turning real hardware buttons/knobs/dials of the Saitek/Honeycomb etc. type without just guessing where they are.

Kind regards, Michael

Curious about the pointcntrl....using an odyssey plus, so I asked on their discord if the standard odyssey adapter would fit it (I assume it would). If so I will take one for the team and order it and see. I use DCS alot as well as msfs, p3d etc etc etc so it will be interesting to see how it works.
