Why are some items in MSFS addon Linker red?

Recommended Posts

What does it mean when some of the entries in MSFS addon Linker are red? I'm sure there's a simple answer, but i don't know it.

Is this due to changing the folder names?

Are they possibly duplicates?

I don't think so.

For example the entry workingtitle-g3000 is red.

... because it is an invalid link. This happens when you make changes and the area is active in MSFSAL.

If the addon name is in BOLD RED letters it most likely mean it's a duplicate, but if you're talking about the bottom right label being red then it's an invalid link. Possibly cause you deleted the original folder or have it renamed.

Another example: pms50-instrument-gtn750 is red, but when i load that addon it works in MSFS. So how can it be invalid?

It is not in bold.

When I had red entries it always were duplicates, Sometimes hard to find in different subdirectories, but the integrated search function should help. You can also try to activate all addons which should result in an error message naming the duplicate package.

Kind regards, Michael

Sounds like that link is broken, when you deselect in the tool is the link disappearing in your community folder?

try copying the gtn750 mod to another folder, then delete the old link in the tool and you should be able to link the new location.
