It does not make policy! Otherwise it may lead to artificial delivery and artificial customer service... The MIcrosoft Flight Simulator platform. That is important because that is what is being discussed. If it is not fulfilling your needs, please move on. It does not appear to be fulfilling your customer relation needs. There are other choices. PC: I9-10900K, RXT 3090, 64GB RAM, 3840x1080 49" super-ultrawide

Live weather, weather textures, avionics. ATC, ATIS, depth of systems in aircraft models? It is quite a list. And the list of "not planned"? Don't know what else to say. I enjoy the scenery tech. No question. But back to staying connected to customers..... Real time! Just push notifications to us. How long has that tech been around? 2002? Actually, the pre-internet Prodigy service (Google it) did that back in the mid 1990's. So did Pointcast!https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PointCast_(dotcom) Again, slowly, because nothing else has attempted to do what the current version of MSFS is doing at this scale, with this many disparate systems. If all this technology has been available for years, why are you even bothering? You clearly think everything that MSFS is providing has already been done better, so why bother? You enjoy the scenery tech? Where do you think that comes from? Do you think you can fit all the data that MSFS provides on your personal computer? No, that takes servers, and a distribution system. There are a fair number of resources being allocated to establishing that system and keeping it running under an ever-changing demand of end-users. This it what has never been attempted at this scale for a consumer entertainment service before, and this is what is going to lead to some technological hiccups. I don't need to google Prodigy, after the decline of local BBS systems, I chose GEnie over it, before reluctantly moving to CompuServe after GEnie's downward spiral. Don't think you hold some vast technological knowledge over the poor MSFS users, a good number of us have lived through the same changes in technology. September 16, 20214 yr Darn power went out for two hours last night. Good thing our electric company drove up and down all streets in our neighborhood like a town crier and informed us a transformer was going to blow.

That certainly includes sources for my enjoyed activities, the sources of the stability of my retirement, and my health. I cannot recall one provider of subscription or support services that does not in advance advise its members/customers in advance of planned service interruptions, or in the event of unanticipated service interruptions, the notice of downtime and estimates of return to service. This wasn’t an anticipated downtime though

When I lived in Wisconsin WE Energy did telephone the affected customers BEFORE any scheduled maintenance. And sometimes, not all the time, they'd call with information about an unplanned outage. That they knew about it and approximately how long it would take to fix. -J 13700KF | RTX 4090 @ 1440 | 64GB DDR5 | 2 x 1TB SSDs | 1TB M.2 NVMe

Key word is they made the effort. And who said "landline?" We dropped our landline when we moved to Wisconsin in June, 2006. -J 13700KF | RTX 4090 @ 1440 | 64GB DDR5 | 2 x 1TB SSDs | 1TB M.2 NVMe
