Man that does look nice, takes me back to the days when I used to live there.  As a side not, really really wished there was a way to do a multiple filter sort on that website, that would help a lot.  I long for day that I could sort on (US;Regional;Airport) for example, maybe one day.

Ooohhh fantastic, I live in York, England UK and I know Tucson extremely well, I have family there, Ive been going to Tucson for vacations since I was 9 years old, Im now 54.....I love the place! I want to retire there when Im a bit older but my wife doesent like hot weather ....and spiders! ha!

Airport looks outstanding. Is it me or do things like taxi signs and static objects load slowly as you depart down the runway? I take it this is a MSFS2020 issue and not the scenery. Seems like the loading/morphing of the autogen is getting worse.

This airport takes a toll performance wise, at least on my system..

The spiders aren't bad unless you live in the higher elevations or deep mid-elevation woods (as I did at 3500+), in which it's not black widows or tarantulas (saw a couple) that get you, it's infestations of recluses and rattlesnakes and bats. The bats were really annoying, my front porch was covered and had to sweep it constantly. Sometimes when I hear a knock at the door, I wasn't sure if it was a bat bouncing around again or a visitor 🙂

Tucson isn't a bad place, but what drove me crazy is no clouds 9 months of the year, you might see a wisp of a cloud until summer when it rains.

Wow!  With my Windows and Corsair cooler system settings on high performance, even with the great cooler and a very efficient fans setup, my flying environment here gets quite warm this time of year! Will be more appreciated come winter. LOL!   But I loaded KTUS here in September and the  temperature in my home office went up a good 20°F.  Time for a very cold beer!  Ha!

My home airport, amazing job for payware let alone free!

I looked at it a little bit more and there are a lot of details missing. At the ANG base and all of the west side has generic objects, no mini boneyard with old southwest jets.  

But for flying purposes its great, such an improvement. So it's very very good freeware, but I probably would have been a bit disappointed if I paid.

Not exactly. You’d have to fly to Davis-Monthan AFB to leave it. That’s where the bone yard is, otherwise it would have to be towed from KTUS to KDMA.

I’m a native of Tucson and did a large portion of my PPL training there at Sunrise Aviation, Glad someone finally gave it some attention.

Yeah I didn’t like that either. I was born there and grew up in Tucson until I moved away in 2000. 

Being someone who likes 4 season and not a brutal summer with no cloudy days, it wasn’t ideal. That being said, I miss the mountains and Mexican food. I live I Texas which is flat as a pancake and the Tex-Mex food isn’t particularly tasty imho.
