Ah, if that one moves then you can't give it a solid surface with the way the sim is programmed at the moment. 

 

Here's  review of the scenery package. The big disappointment is how awful the scenery is once you leave the airstrip. But considering how little satellite imagery there is in this part of the globe, there is no easy fix for this.

There is a very easy fix for this... snow.

The game is able to add snow on top of the ground textures. You can get it with live weather or add it yourself in the weather window.

Maybe that "reviewer" could have read the manual too.
