No Data from Data Provider

After updating PSXT to the latest version, I cannot connect with the data provider. I have Real Traffic on the same computer.

Nothing has changed in the last version wrt connecting to the data provider....

Note that PSXT will start to try to connect to the DP after a connection with the Simulator has been made.

You have to tell me more if you want me to help you.

What about posting your Log,txt?

This different from what you told in your first post. You are connected to RealTraffic but your receive no data ..

EDIT: Question: is PSXT running networked? (at a different PC then the one that runs P3Dv5?)

Yes PSXT is running over the network (from the first time several years ago).

Now I deinstalled Real Traffic and PSXT and then reinstalled it and seems all works fine.

That is a new feature. The name data provider will be changed to RealTraffic as soon as it receives data from RealTraffic.

Good to hear you run it networked, I was worried to see these two lines in your Log.txt:

It meant PSXT could not find Prepar3Dv4 and Prepar3Dv5 at the pc running PSXT, which is correct in your case.

Thank you Kiek for the assistence because I thought that the red color meant the impossibility of connecting PSXT with Real Traffic.I have to read the manual better which, alas, changes practically every day. 🙂

I've always had PSXT on a secondary pc because I pre-order this so I can see if everything works fine with my P3Dv5.2

same problem here nico, networked configuration.

after starting realtraffic and then psxseecontraffic to datastream from relatraffic (red light) and no connection to P3DV5.2 (red light).

after 3 minutes traffic stream are comming live and planes will be placed in P3DV5.2 )both colors red changed to green and all works normal. Why it takes 2-3 minutes?

Hi Oliver,

Starting RealTraffic first makes no sense, while PSXT first tries to make contact with P3D. Only after it has made a connection with P3D it connects to RealTraffic and RT starts sending traffic data. So having both sides in red is normal as long as PSXT is waiting for the Simulator. Then when connected both sides (right slightly  faster then left) jump to green.

Why it takes 3 minutes? PSXT has to check all airport files over the network. Maybe your network is slow or busy?

Could you post your Log.txt. 

By the way, why do you run PSXT networked? Running it at your FlightSim PC will not hurt your fps with the multi processor cpu's we have these days.

hi nico,

i wil locate the airport/airline  files on same computer as psxseecon is running. 

i like it more to have it on a separate computer, then i am able to follow better the airplanes shown on realtraffic radar.

good to now the reason for waiting time.
