DC3 used in WU6 Germany video

Recommended Posts

I came across this video in YouTube wherein they are using a DC3 in MSFS to showcase WU6, Lubeck Airport.

Has a DC3 been released for MSFS?

Looks like a FSX port.

From the interior shots it looks like the Manfred Jahn FSX version & I understood he had expressly forbidden port over of his model.

So I was surprised to see this video.

Aeroplane Heaven released a DC-3/C-47 add-on for MSFS.

A word of warning--we're not going to have a discussion here about where to download a bootleg portover of a freeware work done without the author's permission.

Nice landscape, terrible legacy import. (I built the darn thing.) Please do not use it or show it off. It's not worth it.

Actually, no...I had my wires crossed with the P3D version.

What is the status of the two JU-52 aircraft?

Are they static planes, or multiplayer? AI?

We're expecting the Asobo "Local Legends" JU-52 to appear on the Marketplace tomorrow.  From what's been teased so far it looks like a pretty, and fairly deep, simulation of both a modern and a classic Tante Ju.

We'll know for sure when we get our hands on it.

No I meant the aircraft in that video, the one with the purloined DC-3. It says handcrafted Lubeck Airport scenery. I tried flying out of Lubeck the other day and didn't see anything like that. It looked more like farm scenery.

Manfred Jahn,

As you know, your C-47 model is universally regarded as one of the best aircraft built for FSX-P3D. Most of us truly appreciated the fantastic quality of your work (and that of your teammates) on the aircraft, its cockpit, and its systems. Brilliant all around.

Of course we shall all respect your desire not to port it over to MFS. However, if you and your colleagues might be at all inclined to build the same model in native format for MFS, well, you can be sure that everyone would be truly excited.

A tip of my cap to you and your friends for everything that you have done.

For clarification - What caused the inquiry to be raised was the number of videos featuring it that are on YouTube, even one mentioning the Dutch Dakota Association, & Jan Visser. I thought perhaps someone had received permission to do a port over, hence the search for a legitimate download.

M. Jahn has rightly requested in several forums that his brilliant C-47 be left alone, so I was nonplussed to see the videos still on YouTube & not sure if it was his model that had been ported.

Just checked AH's web site, doesn't look as if they have released it for MSFS 2020 yet.
