How to eliminate two big sources of remaining stutters.

Recommended Posts

I have great performance overall, LOD-O 400, LOD-T 300, RS120, Ultra everything, but still was getting the odd niggle taxiing around big terminals in the B787-10 HD.  Anywhere from 3-5 from most spots, though it does vary.

Try this and see if you don't agree this removes two sources of these and definitely now after multiple flights these are almost 100% gone now:

If that's true, it's a bug...

As for the text-to-speech I didn't notice any improvement by turning it off, maybe because I am already using the ATC Stuttering fix.

I prefer having the speech anyway.

You're welcome.  If you haven't implemented the ATC stutter fix add that piece as well, or install the ATC stutter fix.  I've not done that yet myself but the two of these combined really added the icing to the cake.  I just completed another flight out of EKCH and same not one single stutter anywhere.  I've zendesked both of these issues, the Dev Mode trick a long time ago and I see they changed the logging of errors/messages out of the Dev Mode console but that didn't change the behavior.

When you open Dev Mode after you got into the game make sure to clear all errors as well, it also helps reduce stutters.

I thought this for a long time and zendesked it until someone mentioned you don't even need to clear the console you just need to toggle DM on then off immediately, save and proceed.  But you must be in the flight, not in the World Map planner for example.

If the intention is to help people that may be experiencing this particular issue, then why would it matter ?

Maybe not everyone who comes to this forum religiously reads every post, every day. Some, and I include myself, dip their toe in and out and may have missed the original thread...

I looked at the only source I could find for the ATC fix but didn't feel comfortable downloading it because it forces you to install another piece of software and other suspicious looking stuff so never did.  For now I just have speech off.  I have zendesked the issue as well hopefully they will look into it and solve it for all users.

Here is the Dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ztie75f2cx9vzny/ATCStutteringFix.zip?dl=0

No executables, just the ATCstutteringfix folder to be copied into community. 100% safe and it works. It just prevents the transcript to become bigger than 4 lines.

Great, thanks I appreciate it.   What happens when the transcript is longer--does it edit out words to keep the length confined?  I'm in the middle of a longer flight so won't try it til later...
