TFDI MD-11 | Flight Sim Expo 2021

Recommended Posts

I was completely unaware of this dev or their MD-11 until today.

https://www.tfdidesign.com/md11.php

On YT I found a video of their FSX version which someone is running in MSFS.    Imo it looks really good,  I can't wait to see what the MSFS native version looks like.

EDIT: 2nd link removed because I'm stupid. 💯

??  TFDi has confirmed thier MD-11 will be coming to MSFS simultaneously with thier P3D release.  I suspect this will end the notion of a 'limited SDX"....

Well, if you check the video you will see that they are doing almost everything outside the sim, so...

My point is that they are not bound by the SDK for this particular project, so one cannot say that the SDK is limited or not based just on this MD-11. In any case, FBW has recently pulled their A320 out of the marketplace recently and mentioned SDK limitations, so it seems that there are still elements to be improved.

I'm not and that's my point; specifically, the notion that the SDK was a limiting factor to produce Aircraft for MSFS.   Those truly professional developers who are good at thier craft will find apertures around the SDK.  With all the professional grade aircraft coming to MSFS, I believe it ends the assertion that MSFS SDK was/is limiting developers.
