October 2, 20214 yr Kind of interesting. I'm using it now. Doing about 215 ktas at FL175 or 225 at FL250. Ground speeds over four miles a min! Default plane as O2 anyway, might as well use it. Climb out at 27" and 2400 rpm. https://flightsim.to/file/21351/mooney-m20r-ovation-tubo-mod 250 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr 4mi by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
October 2, 20214 yr Here is a very interesting read:https://www.aviationconsumer.com/aircraftreviews/mooney-231-252-2/ Unexpected. It points out that due to characteristics of the turbocharger, the naturally asperated 201 is actually faster at 8,000 and below than the turbo model. That doesn't seem to "play" to MSFS's strengths. LOL! But I will certainly give it a go! There are some nice liveries available,,,, Edited October 2, 20214 yr by fppilot Frank Patton Corsair 5000D Airflow Case; MSI B650 Tomahawk MOB; Ryzen 7 7800 X3D CPU; ASUS RTX 4080 Super; NZXT 360mm liquid cooler; Corsair Vengeance 64GB DDR5 4800 MHz RAM; RMX850X Gold PSU;; ASUS VG289 4K 27" Display; Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo, Crosswind 3's w/dampener. October 2, 20214 yr Around the time that Carenado released their M20, I received a PM from a man named Ray M. who used to work with Roy LoPresti at NASA on Project Apollo. He sent me an excellent draft article which he had written about Roy, the M20, and some of the other aircraft Roy influenced during his career. Good stuff for Mooney drivers. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FazltkVlPERwA7DyAAyLOcBwRZzTvDAt/view
