Airport not in internal database

Hello,

I'm a longtime user of PSXseeconTraffic (including a paid version of RealTraffic). It runs fine on MSFS2020 (after several and continuing updates it gets better and better). I never fly without it. I seldomly encounter big problems.

Now I just installed LTFM (Istanbul) (from the flightsim.to site). I ran PPG_MSFS and it created an xml.file in the airport-map OK. So far so good. The scenery also loaded fine in MSFS2020. However, there's no visible AI traffic whatsoever on the airport, while RealTraffic shows plenty aircraft. When I run the learner-app, I get this notice that LTFM is not in the internal database. How come? PPG created it allright. Can anyone help me out?

Hi Jan,

That's because LTFM is a (rather) new airport and not available as stock airport in MSFS ..., and therefore not present in the file PSXT_MSFS\data\airports_msfs.xml

I will add that code in the next version.

For the time being you can fix it by adding this line to the airports_msfs.xml file (anywhere you like) :

    <airport code="LTFM" iata="IST" lat="41.2696" lon="28.7299" alt="325" />

When I try to enter LTFM in the airport code field, the entry dissappears and does take effect. I do see the LTFM in the airports_msfs.xml. Is there anything I need to do?

Please give me more info. Do you mean the Destinatioin airport field of the GUI?

In the PSXT Learner, I enterer "LTFM" for the Airport codes(s): 
After typing LTFM and pressing ENTER the entry dissappears. And nothing happens.  RT map turns to blank as no airport is specified.

Aha you were talking abiout Learner ...

Well the Log is quite clear:  "There is no airport file for LTFM"

Do you have an addon airport LTFM installed? If so, run PSXT_MSFS first and push the Airports button.

If not than you cannot Learn LTFM (because there is no stock airport LTFM in MSFS yet)..
