Up the coast from KSAN to Ventura in a Spitfire

Absolutely impossible to stop taking pix with this beauty. Getting my system together nicely now - do the flight staying in the cockpit, and record it with the freebie Flight Recorder. I've got all the other recorder software but this seems to be the one I end up using - it's nice and simple and works fine. Once I'm done with the flight I'll play it back and go in to external and drone mode, play with the weather,TOD settings etc, and grab screenshots. And if I think it's worth it, I'll go back and replay again and grab a video recording with the basic GeForce Experience Video Recording option. I end up with a library of videos to just stare at, and saved flights that I can manipulate and recreate different screenies from. One of the side benefits of MSFS is that I have oodles of spare storage now. I had used between four and six Tb of disk space for XP storage, with all the Ortho stuff I'd grabbed, and when I specced the new PC for MSFS I was assuming I'd be able to (and want to) cache large amounts of the scenery so set up with yet more Tb of disk space. But I don't need that for MSFS - even with a huge amount of scenery already bought I'm probably using under 1 Tb for all the addons, and I've got two spare 8Tb drives I haven't even installed yet.

So here's a bunch of pix of Dorothy at various points on her coast flight. Most are truly along the coast, but I took a couple of diversions over LA to overfly John Wayne and LAX. Enjoy!

SoCal+ a Spit' a good recipe to get lovely shots and yours are lovely indeed.

But (yes, there is a but !) something is lacking !

A little disappointed, no valley girl getting a  nice tan on the beaches or skating on the boardwalk   😄 ?

Thanks Dominique, and I'm hoping Bijan may come up with something to go with his seasons package that covers this <grin>

Superb flight and great shots, Andy. I also have about 6 TB of XP11 ortho scenery that I haven't touched since August 2020 😉

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080
