Red X over Jetways at SimWings Munich

Recommended Posts

Not sure what the deal is, but no matter what I do, I have a red "X" over every Jetway at SimWings EDDM for P3dv5. It is driving me crazy because nothing I do fixed this. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Cheers, Pete

Difficult to say. Something of your SODE is missing.

Try to go to C:\ProgramData\12bPilot\SODE\log and check if anything related to EDDM is there.

Probably to download and add the SODE stuff from Simwings helps too:http://www.sim-wings.de/SUPPORT_SODE.htm

The X indicates a missing library object. So whatever you did, it did not fix this. I´d reinstall EDDM and check SODE, if it is registered and running in the sim.

I am very confused. I reinstalled EDDM and the notice an optional SODE package that I downloaded. I don't understand the instructions in the readme file other than checking that SODE 1.7.1 is installed, which it is:

Check the Sode min. 1.7.1 is installed.

1.) Copy the Subfolder SODE below the "sim-wings pro Munich"
2.) Start the SODE-ON.BAT Batchjob File, to aktivate the SODE Jetways

If you want to go back to CTRL-J Jetway or before you install an update for the Scenery,
run the SODE-OFF.BAT to reset to the normal Scenery State.

I am not really certain as to where the folders go because these instructions seem incomplete. Does the folder go in the same folder as the airport in P3d, or does it all go into the SODE folder. I did see that there were no EDDM folders in my SODE folder after installation, so I am sure that is the problem, but I don't understand how to set up the SODE file. Thanks again for your assistance.

Cheers, Pete

Yes. And then just run their batch file.

Yes is quite normal for aerosoft to release unchecked installers and products. I can't remember the last one that was problem free.

He's right you need to go to their site and download the sode files.

Assuming it's like the other SIm-Wings sceneries, the SODE folder should be placed into the "Sim-Wings Pro Munich" scenery folder wherever you have it installed...there will be a SCENERY, TEXTURE and Effects subfolder and SODE should be placed there in that directory alongside them.  Then go into SODE and run SODE-ON.bat -- a cmd window should then open up with a few Y/N questions to get you thru the SODE configuration.
