What now? FSX Deluxe won't start

OK....Maybe someone here can help me. I installed FSX (not deluxe)and had it running pretty good. Then tried to add some FSX Specific planes out of the Library. Got a Error message saying FSX could not open some files and will now close. K. Removed add-ons. No-go. Tried all the fixes...deleted CFG.exe and logbook.bin, uncompressed files...repaired with the disk, removed and reinstalled(5 times at least), downloaded and installed msmxl 6.0, clean reboot. ARGH! It finally just started working out of the blue...then stopped. Got a new copy of Deluxe and upgraded, still won't work. Sometimes I get the splash screen for a few seconds then it just goes away. Otherwise I get the Error message. Please help....FS9 works great. Everything else works great. I want to use FSX. Whaa.

I would try a system restore to a point prior to installing the addons. I had a similar situation happen to me and restore took care of it for me.

My FSX does the same thing but I can usually get it going after a clean boot. I have never been able to figure out what is causing it.
