Ver. 2.6.17 hangs during startup

Recommended Posts

Hi Alex,

After I downloaded this new version (2.76.17) I copied it over version 2.6.16. When I fire up the new version the application hangs in the splash screen. After a minute waiting I closed LittleNavmap and installed version 2.6.16 again, which runs flawlessly.

Do you have any idea what I might have done wrong?

Best regards,

Hans

Mea culpa.I shouldn't have copied it over an existing version of LittleNavmap. After I delete the LittleNavmap folder and then unzipped the latest version onto a harddrive, all is workg fine. I am sorry for having caused some confusion.

Kind regards,

Thanks for the feedback. This might help others with similar issues.

I always recommend to delete the old folder or create a new one instead of merging. It's no issue in most cases but this time I updated to newer Qt libraries which might cause the freeze.

Does deleting the folder also delete any configuration or personalization (views etc)?

Data is stored in C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\ABarthel.

All configuration and databases is stored in "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ABarthel" on Windows. Similar in other OS.
You can delete the LNM installation (the folder with the littlenavmap.exe) without losing any settings.

On the other hand this means that an installation rarely fixes settings related problems.
